The Metuchen Preschool

Registration for the 2025-2026 school year will continue until classes are fully enrolled

The Metuchen Preschool, located at 250 Grove Avenue in Metuchen, is a non-denominational preschool serving children 2 1/2 to 5 years of age from Metuchen, Edison, Woodbridge, South Plainfield, Piscataway and other surrounding towns. Registration at The Metuchen Preschool is on a rolling basis. We will accept registration until classes are fully enrolled.

Preschool for 2.5, 3 and 4-year-old students: Our preschool program offers a nurturing environment focusing on the social and academic development of each student utilizing a play-based curriculum. Our curriculum enhances the development of the whole child — cognitively, socially, physically, and emotionally. Our classes are single-grade for optimal learning and social development. At The Metuchen Preschool students are placed in classes by age and students stay together with their class for the entire school year. Movement to the next grade occurs in September.

Kindergarten Wrap program: Metuchen plans on having full day kindergarten for the 2025-2026 school year. If there is a delay and Metuchen does NOT have full day kindergarten for the 2025-2026 school year, we will run our Kindergarten Wrap Program.

Mommy, Music and Me: The class for children 9 months to two and a half years old is offered at no cost to families. The class is 30 minutes of music plus 30 minutes of open play time in our gym. The class runs on Tuesday mornings from 9:30-10:30 during the school year. Families do not have to be enrolled at The Metuchen Preschool to attend. Summer Fun Camp: A half-day or full-day summer camp program perfect for 3, 4, 5 and current kindergarten students. Six weeks of 9:00-1:00 or 9:00-3:00 theme-based Summer Fun Camp is offered. An optional 8:00 drop off is available. Children can attend any or all weeks and are placed by age. See our Summer Camp tab for additional information.
