The Metuchen Preschool
Registration for the 2024-2025 school year has begun. Call 732-605-4730 to schedule a tour.
Meet our staff, see the facility, and learn about our preschool & kindergarten wrap class offerings for 2.5 to 6-year-old students. We are accepting summer camp registrations at this time as well!
The Metuchen Preschool, located at 250 Grove Avenue in Metuchen, is a non-denominational preschool serving children 2 1/2 to 5 years of age from Metuchen, Edison, Woodbridge, South Plainfield, Piscataway and other surrounding towns. Registration at The Metuchen Preschool is on a rolling basis. We will accept registration until classes are fully enrolled.
Preschool for 2.5, 3 and 4-year-old students: Our preschool program offers a nurturing environment focusing on the social and academic development of each student utilizing a play-based curriculum. Our curriculum enhances the development of the whole child — cognitively, socially, physically, and emotionally. Our classes are single-grade for optimal learning and social development. At The Metuchen Preschool students are placed in classes by age and students stay together with their class for the entire school year. Movement to the next grade occurs in September. We have limited availability for the current school year. Call for information.
Kindergarten Wrap program: Our Kindergarten Wrap program is for students attending AM or PM kindergarten at Moss School. The Kindergarten Wrap program runs independently from our preschool program. A supervised bus to/from The Metuchen Preschool is included at no additional cost. Please email Director@TheMetuchenPreschool.com or call 732-605-4730 for additional information. Mommy, Music and Me: The class for children 9 months to two and a half years old is offered at no cost to families. The class is 30 minutes of music plus 30 minutes of open play time in our gym. The class runs on Tuesday mornings from 9:30-10:30. Families do not have to be enrolled at The Metuchen Preschool to attend. See Music, Mommy & Me tab for additional information. Advanced registration is required.
A half-day summer camp perfect for 3, 4, 5 and kindergarten aged students. Five weeks of 9:00-1:00 theme-based Summer Fun Camp are offered. An optional 8:30 drop off is available. Children can attend any or all weeks.
